Sony has once more postponed the release of Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, now setting its premiere for 25 June 2027—three weeks later than the previously announced date of 4 June.
Initially expected to hit theatres in March 2024, the film has been repeatedly delayed, with industry strikes among the factors contributing to the setbacks.
The third chapter in the animated saga will pick up where things left off: Miles Morales stranded in a universe without Spider-Man, where an alternate version of himself has taken on the role of the Prowler.
Directed by Bob Persichetti and Justin K Thompson, and written by David Callaham, Phil Lord, and Christopher Miller, the film continues a franchise that has already grossed over $1 billion worldwide.
Sony has also announced a new animated film titled Buds, scheduled to release on 12 March 2027.
