Veteran actor Michael Madsen, known for his unforgettable roles in Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill, has passed away at the age of 67. He was found unresponsive at his Malibu home on Thursday morning, with cardiac arrest believed to be the cause.

Madsen carved out a lasting legacy in Hollywood with his gritty, tough-guy performances that became his signature. He gained a cult following through films like The Hateful Eight, Donnie Brasco, and Sin City, and amassed over 300 film credits throughout his career. He was also involved in several upcoming projects, including Resurrection Road and Cookbook for Southern Housewives.

Beyond the screen, Madsen was a published poet. His latest poetry collection, Tears for My Father: Outlaw Thoughts and Poems, was set for release soon—offering a glimpse into the actor’s reflective and creative side.

Born on 25 September 1957 in Chicago, Madsen began his acting journey with the Steppenwolf Theatre Company, before rising to fame in the 1990s with his intense screen presence and collaborations with Tarantino. He is survived by his children and his sister, actress Virginia Madsen.
