After spending the entire day frantically searching from police stations to hospitals and even train stations, actor Prosun Azad finally received a sigh of relief—her father, retired police officer Azad Hossain, has safely returned home.
Speaking to Prothom Alo in the evening, Prosun confirmed the news and expressed her relief. “We’re heading to the local police station now with my father. All day we were beside ourselves with worry, running everywhere to find him,” she said. “Everyone in our family was extremely distressed. Now that he’s back, we finally feel some peace.”
However, when asked where he had been or what had happened, Prosun shared that her father hadn’t said much. “He hasn’t spoken about it yet, and we haven’t pressed him either. Maybe in time, he’ll tell us everything. For now, we’re just grateful to have him back.”
Prosun had earlier posted about her father’s disappearance on Facebook. On Saturday around 11:30 AM, she wrote, “If anyone has seen my father on the street, in a hospital, or anywhere at all, please contact us. We’ve had no information since 4 PM yesterday.”
When asked whether her father had any conflicts with anyone or if there might be someone she suspects, Prosun firmly denied such possibilities. “He had no disputes with anyone. In fact, he was well-liked by everyone. He’s a cheerful, generous man who loved engaging in conversations,” she said. “Just last Eid-ul-Adha, he helped build a house for a person in need with his own money. I mention this only to show the kind of caring person he is. I couldn’t understand where he had gone or what had happened to him.”
The family’s prayers have been answered for now, as their beloved father has returned safely—although the mystery of his sudden disappearance still lingers.
