Wednesday secures a third season renewal

The renewal was confirmed just ahead of the premiere of Season 2, which is set to drop on 6 August. Since its debut, the show has become a global phenomenon, amassing over 250 million views and receiving 12 Emmy nominations—including a nod for Ortega’s performance.

Created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar and executive produced by Tim Burton, the series centres on Wednesday Addams as she adjusts to life at Nevermore Academy, a boarding school for outcasts and misfits.

The returning cast features Gwendoline Christie, Emma Myers, and Riki Lindhome, with Season 2 introducing notable additions like Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Billie Piper, and Steve Buscemi.

While Netflix hasn’t revealed much, a spin-off series is reportedly in development. The creators described working on the series as “a dark delight” and promised that Season 3 would dive deeper into mysteries and expand on the Addams family lore.
